Juan and Maria's Empanada Stop is a Rochester Public Market mainstay, serving 10 types of empanadas (including veggie, beef and onions, breakfast, and pizza), as well as other Spanish foods such as rice and beans, pork loin, and sopaipillas. "Juan's brunch" is rice, beans, pork loin or chicken with an egg on top, while "Maria's brunch" is the same dish without the meat. American and specialty breakfast sandwiches are also popular, served on a hard roll. Juan and Maria's also features homemade juices, "Juan-sicles,"and their own blends of "Spanish ketchup" and "Spanish mayonnaise." Open during Public Market hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and special-event Sundays.
