Los Gallos Mexican Grill in Greece looks like your stereotypical Tex-Mex joint, but beyond the burritos, ground beef tacos, chile con queso, and chimichangas are the enchiladas verdes, chiles en ahogada, carnitas en chile verde, chile colorado, handmade tamales, and queso fundido y chorizo all waiting to be discovered. Chips are freshly fried, and salsa is a cool tomato base layered with garlic, onion, cilantro, and more than a little bit of chile. Entrees include shredded chicken enchiladas covered in salsa verde and topped with a sprinkle of queso fresco, and queso fundido y chorizo, a mixture of melted queso fresco and loose chorizo. The carnitas en chile verde are another specialty, with pork shoulder rubbed down with garlic, cumin, and salt and then braised in salsa verde until it almost melts. Fried desserts as well.
